Adapting to the current circumstances of COVID-19, and for the safety of all, PRACTISING HISTORICAL GEOGRAPHY 2021 (Autumn) and 2022 (Winter) will be held online. We believe that this online sessions can engage a larger audience from other parts of the world which can afford diverse reflections, and exemplars of contemporary Historical Geography research, and also to provide (international) networking connections.
This year’s Practising Historical Geography theme is: INTERNATIONAL HISTORICAL GEOGRAPHIES. Approaches, methods, and practices will be discussed in these sessions through Keynote Lectures, Panels, and Workshops. Like in past years, we will also have postgraduate reflections on their historical geography research as well as presentations by HGRG dissertation prize winners 2021.
The two sessions will be run via Zoom, the first on WEDNESDAY 24th NOVEMBER (2021), 12:00 – 15:00pm GMT, the second on WEDNESDAY 26th JANUARY (2022), 12:00 – 15:00pm GMT.
In an attempt to ensure that as many historical geographers are able to attend, these two sessions will be run without registration fee to delegates.
